摘要 <p>A surface finishing agent useful for formation of a material surface finely rugged. More particularly, there is provided a surface finishing agent that through formation of a material surface finely rugged, is useful for presenting highly water repellent glass, lens, fiber and other materials, highly antifouling materials, panels excelling in light scattering, optical fiber and other illumination materials, and materials and paints for dealing with snow cover, snow break and icicles on antenna, electric wire and steel tower, and further for forming a rugged surface of semiconductor base, which surface finishing agent realizes easy working. Furthermore, there are provided thus finished materials and a method of surface finishing for growing rugged configuration. The surface finishing agent comprises a slurry of ultramicroparticles treated for water repellency having an average primary particle diameter of 1 to 50 nm and mechanically dispersed in a solvent containing a volatile solvent, the ultramicroparticles contained in a proportion of 5 to 60 mass% based on the total weight of surface finishing agent. In the surface finishing of materials, an upward protrudent rugged structure of 0.1 to 50 mum cycle is formed on the surface thereof by solvent evaporation or repeated dipping in water.</p>
