<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a belt tension detecting device capable of accurately detecting tension acting on a belt regardless of tension acting direction (tension angle) of the belt. <P>SOLUTION: In the belt tension detecting device 10, a rotary shaft 14 connecting with a webbing belt 12 is rotatably supported by an anchor 16 via a support plate 18, and the rotary shaft 14 can be rotated in response to the acting direction of the tension Ft acting on the webbing belt 12.
