<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a gas barrier laminate (2) capable of industrially and continuously manufacturing the gas barrier laminate, which has higher gas barrier properties than before under a high humidity condition though a water soluble polymer is used, under a mild condition not bringing about the thermal deterioration of a plastic base material or a gas barrier layer ready to be formed. <P>SOLUTION: The gas barrier laminate (1) is manufactured by applying a coating agent (A) for forming the gas barrier layer at least to one side of a plastic film directly or applying the same to the coating layer of other coating agent (B) provided at least on one side of the plastic film and heat-treating the coated plastic film.
