PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens barrel with a rotational torque controller whose structure is simple, which is excellent in durability and which can restrain the lowering of the durability and also the lowering of rotational operability of a member for moving a focus lens to the minimum. SOLUTION: In the lens barrel equipped with a fixed ring, a distance adjusting ring rotatably supported by the fixed ring, the focus lens made to advance/retreat in an optical axis direction interlocked with the rotating operation of the distance adjusting ring, and the rotational torque controller giving rotational resistance to the distance adjusting ring, the rotational torque controller is equipped with a contact surface provided on either the distance adjusting ring or the fixed ring, and a rotatable rotating contact member rotatably supported on the other ring and rotating with either the distance adjusting ring or the fixed ring where the contact surface is provided in contact with the contact surface.
