PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user at a receiving side to easily and safely delete a document which passes over a deletion period set by a user at a transmitting side. SOLUTION: In this communication apparatus 101 capable of receiving a document transferred from an external device connected with a network 102 and storing the received document, the document transmitted from the external device and to which deletion period information is added is received, the document and the deletion period information are acquired by a receiving means 113 and the document is stored in a storage means 128 in the present apparatus by adding the deletion period information to the document.
