1,120,376. Tape recorders. GRUNDIG E.M.V. ELEKTRO-MECHANISCHE VERSUCHSANSTALT, INH. MAX GRUNDIG. 24 Nov., 1966 [24 Nov., 1965], No. 52575/66. Heading G5R. In a tape recorder including a removable tape cassette 2 enclosing two spools 50, 51 which are spaced apart in the same plane, two driving gear wheels 15, 16 which are in constant mesh with one another are movable along respective spindles 17, 18 by the actuation of a control member (as shown, a rocker 21 operated by means of a manually operable slide 30 having a projecting knob 31) to be selectively coupled (as shown, by means of pins 55a, 56a) to respective ones of the two spool members which are thereby driven in opposite directions. A sound head 41 is carried on a spring-biased slidable member engaging, by means of an upstanding rib 43, a cam surface on the control slide 30, which controls the position of the sound head 41 and also of an erase head (61, Figs. 2 and 6 to 9, not shown) and of contacts (44) in the battery circuit. In operative position, the sound head 41 latches the cassette 2 in place on the recorder. |
