摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ZCLV system optical disk device in which large variation in the number of revolutions is suppressed at the time of zone change and access time is reduced. SOLUTION: When a reading/writing request is received, a present address of an optical pickup on an optical disk is obtained, a prescribed n-fold speed of the zone to which reading/writing addresses belong is obtained, the number of revolutions of the optical disk is computed to conduct linear velocity constant control at the addresses in the zone, the optical disk is rotated with the number of revolutions at the obtained n-fold speed and the optical pickup is moved to the reading/writing addresses in a seeking operation. After obtaining a present address regardless of the present n-fold speed, an access is made with the number of revolutions that is suitable for the zone of the reading/writing addresses.
