PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reliable silicon carbide heating element of single terminal structure which is equal to using in high-temperature region. SOLUTION: The silicon carbide heating element comprises a rod-like heating component 1 made of silicon carbide; and a rod-like terminal component 2 disposed substantially in the same direction from both ends in the lengthwise direction of the heating component 1, and made of a material which includes silicon carbide as a main component and silicon.
