PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dendron compound becoming a raw material of a metal complex dendrimer which is a second generation dendron ligand (a complex of a hole injection molecule/a hole-transport molecule with a ligand), and also easily dissolvable with an organic solvent, and a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: This dendron compound is expressed by the general formula (wherein, R<SB>1</SB>, R<SB>2</SB>are each H or a 1-8C alkyl; and X is a halogen), and the method for producing the same is also provided.
