Instead of the conventional 2-value bit code string of one-value recording (non-record is 0), the least number of types of elements are used for recording the cell numeral information and zero information and the non-record space is made to be a function code, thereby saving the data space and increasing the integration. For this, a unit module is made to be multinary cell information. Element information is expressed by a plurality of elements E1 to En composed of a basic numeral and a positive or negative multiple (including equi-multiple). An arbitrary element from E1 to En and combination of the elements serve as cell numeral information and zero information while a non-element cell (space) B0 is made to be a function code. A plurality of elements E1 to En and a combined element are made to have an intensity structure of light reflectance by hue or concentration and density.
