<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical filter having excellent electromagnetic wave shielding property, transparency and visual transmittance, stable shielding performance against near IR rays even under high temperature/humidified conditions, having no specified absorption in a visible region and free from problems of coloring or color change. <P>SOLUTION: The optical filter comprises layers of an antireflection layer 1, transparent conductive mesh layer 4, transparent adhesive layer 2 to laminate both layers, and transparent functional layer 3 between the transparent conductive mesh layer 4 and the transparent adhesive layer 3. The transparent conductive mesh layer 4 is obtained by forming a metal mesh on the adhesive layer on a transparent substrate. One or more layers in the above antireflection layer 1, transparent conductive mesh layer 4, transparent adhesive layer 2 and transparent functional layer 3 contain a near IR ray absorbing dye and/or a neon light absorbing dye. The binder resin used for the layer containing the near IR ray absorbing dye and /or the neon light absorbing dye has ≤10 hydroxyl value and/or ≤10 acid value.
