PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a particulate roaster effectively roasting to the core of particulate to obtain high-quality particulate, free from the condensation trouble in cooling and effectively avoiding the danger to cause contamination. SOLUTION: The particulate roaster 1 is provided with a charging port 2 to receive charged particulate, a drum 30 to hold the particulate charged through the charging port 2, and a heating means 49 to heat the particulate in the drum 30. A preheating chamber 3 for the preheating of the particulate charged through the charging port 2 is formed between the charging port 2 and the drum 30 and connected to the drum 30.
