摘要 A method for manufacturing mechanically tunable long period gratings is provided to apply to the bandpass filter, an Erbium-doped optical fiber amplifier and the optical filter changing in real time by overcoming the limitation of the wavelength and the variable transmission. A method for manufacturing mechanically tunable long period gratings includes a V-groove plate(10), a top plate(12), a first plate(14) for mounting the rotational motor, a second plate(16) for mounting the vertical motor, a third plate(18) for mounting the horizontal motor and an optical fiber(20). The long period gratings are manufactured with the optical elastic effect by applying the periodic micro-bending to the optical fiber(20) with raising the second plate(16) for mounting the vertical motor after the optical fiber(20) is mounted on the V-groove plate(10) and the second plate(16) for mounting the vertical motor is positioned below the V-groove plate(10).
