An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) is provided to reduce the cost of the LCD and improve display quality of the LCD. An LCD includes an array substrate(100) on which pixel electrodes are formed, an opposite substrate(200) arranged opposite to the array substrate, and a liquid crystal layer(300) including liquid crystal molecules, interposed between the array substrate and the opposite substrate. The LCD further includes polarizers(PL1,PL2) respectively located on the outer faces of the array substrate and the opposite substrate, a diffusion layer disposed between the surface of the opposite substrate and the polarizer located on the opposite substrate. A tilt angle of the liquid crystal molecules in the longitudinal direction to the normal of the opposite substrate is less than 50 degrees such that luminance reverse of each gray scale is less than four gray scales among 64 gray scales.
