Provided are an electrode diffusion layer for a fuel cell which is excellent in both polar liquid delivery property and gas delivery property, its preparation method, an electrode for a fuel cell containing the electrode diffusion layer, and a fuel cell containing the electrode diffusion layer. The electrode diffusion layer comprises a hydrophobic porous aggregate which does not wetted in a polar liquid, acts as a delivery channel for gas, forms a three dimensional network structure, and comprises an electron conductive particle and a binder resin; and a hydrophilic porous aggregate which acts as a delivery channel for a polar liquid, and forms the three dimensional network structure filling the inside of the three dimensional network structure formed by the hydrophobic porous aggregate, and comprises an electron conductive particle. Preferably the hydrophobic binder resin of the hydrophobic porous aggregate is PTFE, TFE, FEP or their mixture; and the electron conductive particle is a spherical or needle-like carbon powder. |
