SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DETECTING A LIST IN INK INPUT

A system and a method for detecting an item list attaching a bullet or a number from ink input are provided to recognize a structure of a list, and detect the list like the item list attaching the bullet or the number from the ink input without being sensible to input order and number of strokes forming a handwritten list. A list detector(204) receives the ink input. A list indentation detector(210) detects indentation of a handwritten line in the ink input by operationally combining to the list detector. A bullet detector(208) detects the bullet of the handwritten line in the ink input by operationally combining to the list detector. An ink parser(202) transmits the ink input to the list detector by operationally combining to the list detector. A list candidate detector(206) selects a line group forming the list in the ink input by operationally combining to the list detector. A list structure detector(212) provides the structure of the list in the ink input by operationally combining to the list detector.
