Provided is a method for preparing a polypyrrole particle having a size of several nanometer by using low temperature microemulsion polymerization with improving the uniformity of nanoparticles and production yield. The method comprises the steps of adding a surfactant to distilled water in a thermostat bath maintained at 1-40 deg.C by a concentration of 0.01-0.9 M and stirring the mixture to form a micelle with a size of 1-50 nm; slowly dropping a monomer to the distilled water to introduce the monomer into the micelle; adding a catalyst to the monomer to polymerize the monomer contained in the micelle; and adding an excess amount of a solvent to dissolve the micelle for obtaining a nanoparticle with a size of 1-50 nm. The optimum condition for the uniformity of nanoparticles and production yield is that the amount of distilled water is 20 mL and the amount of a monomer is 0.5-0.6 g. Preferably the optimum condition for production yield is that the concentration of a surfactant is a little lower than a second critical micelle concentration.
