ESSENTIAL OIL OF CITRUS UNSHIU FRUIT, WHICH HAS ANTIBACTERIAL ACTIVITY AGAINST BACTERIUM CAUSING DANDRUFF AND SEBORRHOEIC DERMATITIS IN SKIN

Essential oil of Citrus unshiu fruits and a cosmetic composition comprising the same essential oil are provided, which essential oil has antibacterial activity against bacterium causing dandruff and seborrhoeic dermatitis in the skin, so that the essential oil of Citrus unshiu fruits can be useful for prevention and treatment of dandruff and seborrhoeic dermatitis. The cosmetic composition comprises 0.001 to 30.0 wt.% of the essential oil of Citrus unshiu fruits having antibacterial activity against bacterium causing dandruff and seborrhoeic dermatitis in the skin, wherein the cosmetic composition has a formulation selected from hair shampoo, hair rinse, hair treatment, hair essence, body cleanser and body oil.
