A micro-chemical system (1) comprises a light waveguide passage (20) in a platy member (10) forming an optical unit (1a), which is used as an optical passage for excitation light and detection light, and a flow passage (40) positioned on the downstream side of a radiation lens (30) on the downstream side end of the excitation light in traveling direction and detection light of both ends of the light waveguide passage. Fluid containing reagent is allowed to flow in the flow passage, and a detector (50) on the downstream side end of the flow passage detects the detection light for analysis.
