PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a hand piece for dental treatment treat a tooth while disinfecting and sterilizing a treated area with ultraviolet rays during the treatment of the tooth by loading the function of emitting sterilizing light (for example, ultraviolet light) and by emitting the sterilizing light from a dental instrument. SOLUTION: The hand piece for the dental treatment has the dental instrument 4 detachably mounted on a head part 3 and treats the tooth by driving the dental instrument 4. The hand piece for the dental treatment has an ultraviolet light source 52, introduces the ultraviolet rays from the light source 52 to the inside of the dental instrument 4, and performs the treatment while emitting the ultraviolet rays from a part for treating teeth of the dental instrument 4.
