Fuel pressure detection system of a combustion engine having a correction unit for correcting pressure based on a learn value of a learning unit

The system has a low pressure pump (12) which pumps fuel into the engine. A low pressure pump output pressure setting device (15) sets the output of the pump to a target fuel pressure. A high pressure pump (14) applies a high pressure to the fuel output by the low pressure pump and pumps the fuel to a fuel injection valve (31). A fuel pressure sensor (32) detects fuel pressure in an output section of the high pressure pump. The system further has a learning unit (36) which learns a measurement error of the sensor as a learn value, based on a difference between the target fuel pressure and the detected pressure when a given learning condition is fulfilled. A correction device (36) corrects the fuel pressure detected by the sensor based on the learn value.
