<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system for reducing temperature distribution in a fuel cell while pre-heating fuel gas and air. <P>SOLUTION: The system has a plurality of fuel cell stacks 22 and cooling units 7, 8. The stacks 22 are disposed inside a container 26. The cooling units 7, 8 are disposed between adjacent two stacks 22 among the stacks 22. Either fuel gas 1 or oxidant gas 2 used by at least one of the stacks 22 is supplied as supply gas to the cooling units 7, 8. The supply gas is increased in temperature by the heat of the adjacent two stacks 22. The cooling units 7, 8 may be provided with a plurality of filler members in supply gas passages inside the cooling units 7, 8 so as to improve a gas heat transfer rate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
