<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To drive a tire without interposing a speed reduction gear such as a transmission, a differential gear or a planetary gear, etc., in an electric vehicle making driving efficiency bad since loss in a power transmission system such as the differential gear is large in a system for driving the tire via a motor, the transmission and the differential gear, making driving efficiency bad since loss in a driving system is large in a wheel-in-motor system for directly driving the tire by combining the speed reduction gear such as the planetary gear and the motor, and having an advantage of no loss in the power transmission system since the motor is a driving wheel itself, in the case of a wheel-in-motor for directly driving the tire by incorporating a driving machine between an axle and the tire. <P>SOLUTION: This motor is made to have a shaftless outer rotor structure in which a rotor housing and a brake drum are made to have an integral structure and are fixed to the axle together with a stator housing incorporated with a brake unit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
