PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid deterioration of drivability as much as possible by accurately carrying out control to take measures against overheating of the operating fluid of an automatic transmission. SOLUTION: An ECT-ECU carries out a program containing a step S100 for obtaining information about real position from a navigation system, a step S120 for detecting AT oil temperature when a vehicle is running in a lane for slower traffic (YES in S110), a step S140 for determining whether a destination is set in the navigation system or not when AT oil temperature is larger than the threshold value (YES in S130), steps S150 and S160 for discriminating whether the destination is set or not and computing an index A expressing degree of rise of the AT oil temperature from now on the basis of grade and distance, and a step S170 for changing the threshold value of the oil temperature which needs to carry out the high-temperature oil temperature control on the basis of the index X.
