<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable for a user to replace a battery in a battery room with ease even at dark place. <P>SOLUTION: A battery room with an automatic lighting system according to the present invention is provided with: a storage portion having an opening portion for taking out and putting in the battery and storing the battery; a lid of the opening; a storage portion; a light emitting portion; and a light emission start time control portion.The storage portion receives and stores electric power from the battery when the lid is closed. The light emitting portion illuminates the storage portion. The light emission start time control portion starts providing electric power stored in the storage portion to the light emission portion at the time the lid is opened or the battery is removed from the battery room, and makes the light emission portion start illuminating.
