<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light diffusing sheet having high heat resistance and excellent antistatic property, and to provide a backlight unit which reduces degradation in the quality such as irregular luminance/a decrease in the luminance due to thermal distortion or a decrease in handling property due to electrostatic charging. <P>SOLUTION: The light diffusing sheet 1 has a transparent base layer 2 and a light diffusing layer 3 stacked on the top face side of the base layer 2. The light diffusing layer 3 contains a light diffusing agent 5 in a binder 4 which consists of a polymer composition containing a base polymer, minute inorganic filler and an antistatic agent. As for the antistatic agent, a cationic antistatic agent is preferably used. As for the cationic antistatic agent, an ammonium salt is preferable. The preferable blending ratio of the antistatic agent is ≥3 and ≤45 parts in terms of the solid content with respect to 100 parts of the base polymer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
