PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet feeder, preventing inferior positioning accuracy, and surely feeding and separating sheets of various raw materials such as coated paper, OHP, art film and very thick paper, and an image forming apparatus including the feeder. SOLUTION: In order to solve the problem, the sheet feeder of representative constitution of the invention includes: a sheet loading means loaded with a plurality of sheets; a feeding means for feeding the sheets placed on the sheet loading means; and a blowing means for blowing air current from the side of the sheets placed on the sheet loading means. A top plate is provided near the top face of the placed sheets, and bending of the sheets due to blown air current from the blowing means is restrained by the top plate. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
