<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processor capable of restraining an increase in temperature of an area which a user directly contacts, such as a palm rest and a keyboard. <P>SOLUTION: A rectangular recess 17 is formed in a cover 13 that constitutes an upper wall of a computer body as an area for disposing an input device, and a keyboard 111 is disposed in the recess 17. A palm rest area 116 is provided in the cover 13. Temperature sensors 31-34 are installed on the rear of the cover 13 to detect surface temperature of the palm rest area 116 and the area for disposing an input device. A hard disk drive 42 is disposed in a case 12 so that it faces the righthand side of the palm rest area 116. Action of the hard disk drive 42 is controlled according to the temperature detected by the temperature sensors 31-34.
