PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radar device enabling a stable target recognition by detecting the absolute value of the maximum swing angle of a scanner to keep an amount of amplitude constant. SOLUTION: The radar device includes a laser diode 22, a two-dimensional scanner 21 two-dimensionally scanning by using the signals transmitted from the laser diode 22 with lengthwise and breadthwise vibration, and a receiving section 3 for signals for receiving the reflected signals transmitted via the two-dimensional scanner 21, optically measuring the position of the swing angle of the two-dimensional scanner 21 by a measuring apparatus for an amplitude angle. As an optical measurement approach, a structure reflecting the front and rear of the reflecting surface of the two-dimensional scanner 21 is formed, and then a photodiode or a two-dimensional PSD as a light receiving element for measuring an amplitude angle reflected is arranged at a predetermined position on the projection face of a two-dimensional scanning region formed with the beams of light-emitting element 23 for measuring the amplitude angle reflected by a reflecting surface. Then, the maximum amplitude angle on the reflecting surface of the two-dimensional scanner 21 is measured by the presence on the measuring element for the amplitude angle.
