PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep a state of a transfer roller constantly proper by preventing the occurrence of a slip between a tray and the transfer roller. SOLUTION: A first mark 38 and a second mark 39 are provided on the tray 33 where a disc D can be set, and a carriage 13 is provided with a PW sensor 27 for detecting a side end of paper. A tray feeding controller for controlling the feeding of the tray turns the transfer roller by a predetermined amount after the detection of the first mark 38 through the use of the first mark and the second mark, so as to determine whether or not the second mark 39 can be detected. Thus, since it is detected whether or not the tray 33 is correctly carried, the slip between the tray 33 and the transfer roller can be prevented at a low cost by using an existing component.
