PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a robot device improved in entertaining characteristics with simple constitution, and its control method. SOLUTION: One or more light emitting elements out of a plurality of light emitting elements respectively arranged in predetermined patterns at each port of a driving means are lighted to match displayed dot patterns different in position and shape from one another, and the driving means is controlled to make expressions by the blinking combination of one or more dot patterns.
