PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an innovative metallic dial plate having a simple configuration, and a display without discomfort sense and an in-vehicle instrument using the dial plate. SOLUTION: A dial plate 10 comprises first dial plates 21 and 22 which have display parts 212 and 223 processed to have metallic texture on which openings 211 and 221 are located at the center of the plates, a second dial plate 24 which is provided to cover the openings 211 and 221 of the first dial pates 21 and 22 and has a display design 246 which is different from display designs 217 and 224 of the first dial plates 21 and 22, and a mesh plate 23 which is provided to cover the openings 211 and 221 of the first dial pates 21 and 22 in front of the second dial plate 24.
