GAS-CAN TREATMENT METHOD AND DEVICE

[PROBLEMS] A gas-can treatment method and device capable of reliably preventing explosion of a can under treatment and capable of being reduced in size. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] A gas-can treatment device has a container (110) with a can crusher (200) for crushing a gas can (10), and a fan (130) and a vacuum pump (120) for reducing pressure in the container. The gas can (10) is placed in the container (110) and a lid (111) and a hatch (112) are closed. The pressure in the container (110) is reduced by the vacuum pump (120). Reducing the pressure causes oxygen in the container (110) to be reduced, so that a residual gas is prevented from catching fire and exploding even if sparks are emitted when the can is crushed by the can crusher (200). Since the treatment device is constituted of the container (110), the vacuum pump (120), the fan (130), piping, valves, and a control device, it can be transported on a normal pallet.
