PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat developable image recording material free of uneven development in heat development and giving a uniform dot image. SOLUTION: The heat developable image recording material has on a support at least one image forming layer containing an organic silver salt, a photosensitive silver halide, a reducing agent, a contrast enhancer and a binder and at least another layer and has at least one back layer on the support on a side opposite to a side with the image forming layer. On the side with the image forming layer and its opposite side, a fluorine compound having a 1-6C perfluoroalkyl group and/or a 1-6C perfluoroalkylene group is contained, and in the heat developable image recording material, a fluorine compound having a≥7C perfluoroalkyl group and a≥7C perfluoroalkylene group is not contained.
