To provide a device for removing slag stuck to limehole and opening limehole by compression and expansion of the spring according to position of roof formed on the furnace body of electric furnace by elastically installing a cleaner using a spring, the cleaner moved inside the limehole formed on the roof to remove slag. The device for opening limehole in electric furnace comprises a housing(20) fixed to one side of the upper surface of a roof(8) installed on an upper portion of a furnace body(7) of the electric furnace; a lifting-and-lowering member(22) elastically installed inside the housing by a spring(21); a pair of links(23,24) which are installed in an upper portion of the lifting-and-lowering member such that the links are rotated by a hinge(25), and on central portions of which slots(23a,24a) are formed such that the slots are installed on upper portions of supports(26) installed on the housing with being extended to an upper portion of the housing, and the links are rotated by means of hinges(27); a plate(7a) installed on the outer circumferential surface of the furnace body such that the plate is selectively contacted with a front portion of the link(23) to rotate the link; and a lug(28) installed on a front portion of the link(24); and a cleaner(29) installed on a lower portion of the lug and vertically moved inside the limehole(9).
