PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a package for storing image sensor exhibiting excellent hermetic sealing performance and capable of operating a mounted image sensor stably for a long term. SOLUTION: The package for storing image sensor comprises a square planar ceramics substrate 3 having a mounting part of an image sensor 4 formed in the center on the upper surface, metallic lead terminals 5 fixed, respectively, to a pair of opposing side part at the outer circumferential part on the upper surface of the substrate 3, a plurality of supporting pieces 6 fixed to symmetric positions with respect to the center of the substrate 3 in a region other than the lead terminal 5 fixing region at the outer circumferential part on the upper surface of the substrate 3 and having the same thickness as that of the lead terminal 5, and a ceramics frame 1 joined entirely to the outer circumferential part on the upper surface of the substrate 3 by means of a thermosetting resin 2 through the lead terminals 5 and the supporting pieces 6.
