<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a color conversion matrix which converts an input color in a first color space into a desired color in a second color space. <P>SOLUTION: A method for calculating the color conversion matrix includes a step of obtaining an RGB signals of input color Cin corresponding to a plurality of color patches by photographing a color chart. The method further includes a step of obtaining the RGB signals of a target color Cme from a colorimetric value of each color patch. The method also includes a step of obtaining the color conversion matrix M in which the input color Cin coincides in a hue and a color saturation with the target color Cme by an attenuation least-square method. The method also includes a step of calculating an initial value of the attenuation least-square method by a genetic algorithm based on the input color Cin and the target color Cme. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
