发明名称 ION TRAP DEVICE AND ION CLEAVAGE METHOD IN ION TRAP DEVICE
摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ion trap device in which efficiency of CID (Collision Induced Dissociation) can be raised by making CID voltage higher while suppressing disappearance of parent ions as much as possible. SOLUTION: In the ion trap device provided with a ring electrode and an opposing pair of end cap electrodes pinching it, in which gas (CID gas) is introduced into an ion trap space surrounded by those electrodes while the ions are cleaved by applying an appropriate voltage to those electrodes, the CID gas is introduced in a pulse state. Immediately after introduction of the CID gas, even if a slightly high CID voltage is applied, because of effect of collision with the CID gas existing in a high concentration, the parent ions are cooled immediately, and probability of disappearance from an interior of the ion trap is greatly reduced. Furthermore, because this functions effectively in a low q value, the cleaving efficiency is high even in such conditions. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
