<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the size of the movable bodies of an oscillatory-wave driving device and thus the size of the entire device. <P>SOLUTION: The oscillatory-wave driving device comprises an oscillator 40 comprising an electromechanical energy converting element 3 clamped between two elastic members 1 and 2, the movable bodies 11 and 12 provided at both the ends of the oscillator 40 in the axial direction, and an output member 21 that joins together the rotational forces of the two movable bodies 11 and 12. Rubber rings 30 and 31 having a viscous resistance element are provided between the movable bodies 11 and 12 and the output member 21, in parallel with pressurizing springs 15 and 16 that apply pressure to the movable bodies 11 and 12 toward the oscillator 40. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
