<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel battery utilizing a solid oxide surface in which a cathode layer and an anode layer are arranged in parallel on one face of a solid oxide substrate, in which an airtight sealing structure is unnecessary, and in which downsizing, lower cost and lowering of a power generating drive temperature can be realized. <P>SOLUTION: On an upper face of the solid oxide substrate 1 such as alumina ceramic, a belt-state cathode layer 2 such as SSC, and permeable belt-state anode layers 3<SB>1</SB>, 3<SB>2</SB>of rhenium metal powders or the like are arranged in parallel with a prescribed spacing. On the upper face of the anode layer, fuel supply layers 11<SB>1</SB>, 11<SB>2</SB>which supply fluid fuel such as ethanol by infiltration into the whole anode layer are arranged in contact. Oxygen ions formed in the cathode layer contacting with the atmosphere moves over a surface region of the substrate, and reacts to a fuel species supplied to the anode layer. Fuel battery cells C1, C2 are formed by the cathode layer and the anode layer on the substrate face. Cover layers 12<SB>1</SB>, 12<SB>2</SB>may be installed on the upper face of the fuel supply layer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
