<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably obtain a ferrite material having a high saturated magnetic flux density in a high temperature region, a low core loss, and a bottom temperature of 60°C or higher. <P>SOLUTION: The subject method for producing the ferrite material mainly consisting of 62 to 68 mol% Fe<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>, 12 to 20 mol% ZnO, 5 mol% or lower (including 0%) NiO, below 4 mol% (including 0) LiO<SB>0.5</SB>, and the balance of MnO comprises the molding step of obtaining a molding from a powder containing the principal components and the firing step of firing the molding obtained in the molding step. The firing step comprises a temperature raising step (I) of raising the temperature to a specified temperature, a temperature keeping step (I) of keeping the temperature at the specified temperature, and a temperature-lowering step (III) of lowering the temperature after the temperature keeping step (II).
