<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote control transmitter which allows a luminaire capable of receiving a light modulation control signal to be lit with light modulation when a set time comes, and also allows a luminaire incapable of receiving the light modulation control signal to be lit with full lighting then. <P>SOLUTION: This remote control transmitter 3 is used for controlling the luminaire 2 to light it by transmitting a lighting control signal when the set time (for instance, 17:00) comes. The remote control transmitter substantially continuously transmits a full-lighting control signal 21 and a light modulation control signal 22 as lighting control signals in that order. Thereby, the luminaire capable of receiving the control signal 22 (of course, capable of receiving the control signal 21) is first lit with full lighting and immediately lit with light modulation, so that power consumption is restrained.
