PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guard fence which can arbitrarily adjust the angle of beams according to the inclination of the ground on which the fence is set, is easy to manufacture and assemble, hardly undergoes disengagement between the beams and balusters, and is good in storage and transportation efficiency. SOLUTION: The guard fence is formed of a plurality of supports arranged at predetermined intervals, and fence bodies arranged between the supports. Each fence body is formed of a pair of the parallel beams, and the plurality of balusters connecting the beams together. Each beam is formed by connecting parts of a pair of beam pieces together by means of a beam piece connecting means, and parts of the beam pieces opposed to the one parts, are made openable. The beam pieces have connecting means for connecting the balusters thereto, which are each formed of a pair of insertion pins provided for the respective beam pieces. The insertion pins are arranged in plurality on an inner wall surface of each beam piece at predetermined intervals, and when the beam is closed, the insertion pins opposed to each other match with each other. Further the beam has openings in a side surface opposed to the vicinity of the beam connecting means, and the openings have a lengthwise diameter larger than the diameter of the baluster. Furthermore, the baluster has holes in the vicinity of both ends thereof, for inserting therein the insertion pins, and therefore the baluster is longitudinally displaceable with respect to the connection means as an axis.
