PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a cleaning material such as moisture or a detergent to be used in cleaning bodies from being remained on a surface to be cleaned such as a floor surface, in the case of cleaning by a suction port body for a vacuum cleaner. SOLUTION: The suction port body includes a case body 9 having elongate suction ports 10, 11 which face the surface to be cleaned and are opened in a movement direction and a straight direction; a turning body 17 which has a prescribed length along a part near the suction ports 10, 11 of the case body 9 and is turnably arranged; a plurality of cleaning bodies 20 arranged by separation in a plurality of boundary parts substantially in parallel with a rotary shaft 16 on the outer periphery of the turning body 17; and a changeover mechanism for performing changeover, so as to allow one of the cleaning bodies 20 to contact the surface to be cleaned. One of the cleaning bodies 20 is selectively brought into contact with the surface to be cleaned by the changeover mechanism in the suction port body 1 for the vacuum cleaner.
