PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for easily and inexpensively producing even a large area of a hole array in which pores with a uniform size are formed perpendicular to a film surface, without requiring complicated steps. SOLUTION: The method for producing the hole array comprises anodizing aluminum in an electrolytic bath containing 7M or higher sulfuric acid, dissolving a boundary between cells of the obtained porous alumina, and filling a substance into a formed void by the dissolution.
