MOBILE TERMINAL AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING USER-INTERFACE USING VOICE SIGNAL

A mobile terminal for providing user-interface using a voice signal and its method are provided to reduce time required for searching information on an input voice from a voice database by positioning a voice key word corresponding to a direction key at a front portion of the voice database. When a voice command is inputted through a microphone(S210), a voice recognition unit searches a key signal corresponding to the voice command(S220). When the voice recognition unit transfers the search result to a key signal converter, the key signal converter converts the inputted voice command into the searched key signal(S230). A controller receives the key signal from the key signal converter and performs a corresponding operation(S240). When a key is inputted through a key input unit of a mobile terminal, the controller controls to perform an operation corresponding to the inputted key(S240).
