A sudden start-and-acceleration preventing device of an auto-vehicle is provided to prevent an accident caused by that a driver parks the vehicle in a state of a steering wheel steered aside in an angle over ninety degrees and then restarts without returning the steered tire, by releasing the lock of a sprag only if a brake pedal is stepped on and the steering wheel returns in an angle smaller than ninety degrees and to enhance safety and reliability of the vehicle. A sudden start-and-acceleration preventing device of an auto-vehicle comprises a steering angle sensor(10) detecting turned angle of a steering wheel; a steering angle solenoid switch(20) operated by signals from the steering angle sensor; a brake switch(30) sensing operation of the vehicle brake; a shift lock solenoid switch(50) operating a sprag device; a power source unit(70) supplying electric power into the brake switch and the shift lock solenoid switch; a second relay(60) connected between the shift lock solenoid switch and the power source unit to turn on/off the power supply; and a first relay(40) connected between the brake switch and the second relay to operate according to signals of the steering angle solenoid switch and to control operation of the second relay.
