1,155,231. Clasps. T. J. PEARCE, R. J. COOKE and G. FURDAS [trading as RONEX MFG JEWELLERS], 4 Feb., 1967. No. 5485/67. Heading 1 E2A. [Also in Division A3]. A securing device for a bracelet comprises a tongue 17 having a bent up leaf 20 with a cranked portion 21 terminating in an operating knob 22, and two end stop members. The tongue connects two, hinged hollow curved shells 10, 11 with slots 16, 18 for the tongue. The cranked portion extends through a narrow portion of the slot 18 which is T-shaped. Pressing the knob 22 depresses the leaf 20 and displaces shoulders 25 thereon into a wider part of the T slot and allows sliding of the shell 11 relatively to the tongue to release the catch. The catch is retained in the shells by bent up end portion forming the stop members. |
