PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mounting/demounting device for a luminaire which allows work such as maintenance/inspection of the luminaire mounted to a high position and replacement of a light bulb thereof to be conducted safely and easily at a low position, e.g., on the ground, and allows the cost for the replacement work to be low. SOLUTION: The mounting/demounting device comprises: a bracket to be mounted to a high position; a luminaire holder demountably mounted to the bracket; and a mounting/demounting operation pole for allowing the luminaire holder to be mounted to and demounted from the bracket with operations at a low position. The luminaire holder is designed to allow a tip portion of the operation pole to be fitted thereto, and has a pole-fitting portion comprising a switching means for allowing switching between the state in which the holder is locked to the bracket and the unlocked state in response to the operations of the operation pole with its tip portion fitted to the holder.
