[Also in Division G3] A grinding machine control circuit of the type described in Specification 911,982, in which the load on a grinding wheel motor is maintained constant at a desired value determined by the setting of a potentiometer associated with an amplifier and a relay forming part of the said circuit, is modified by replacing the single potentiometer by a plurality of potentiometers which can be set to different values. Thus, when a workpiece has to undergo a cycle of operations involving differing grinding conditions each potentiometer is set accordingly and is switched into the control circuit, at appropriate times by relays or the like, whereby the grinding cycle may be effected automatically. A suitable relay and potentiometer circuit is described with reference to Fig. 2 (not shown). |
